Hammond Migration is an Australian Immigration law firm borne from a desire to help others live and work in Australia. Australia’s immigration policies are complex and change often. As an immigration lawyer, I am notified immediately of legislative changes; and it is my business to know these laws inside out.
I have practised exclusively in the field of Australian immigration since 2005 and I understand that the decision to move your life overseas is a major one. On top of that, the visa process itself can be quite daunting. The Australian Department of Home Affairs expect substantial evidence with applications, and a high degree of accuracy with information and legal criteria. There is not always a second chance to fix this, and refusals can lead to delays and increased costs. Our role is to support you through the process so that the visa is granted the first time, as quickly and cost-efficiently as possible.

With years of experience in immigration law, I have gained extensive knowledge in various areas such as family-based immigration, employment-based immigration, skilled visas and citizenship. My legal experience was gained in Australia, and then further honed in Germany, the UK and the Netherlands.
I understand that immigration can be a daunting and emotional experience (having lived abroad myself) and that’s why I strive to provide compassionate and personalised representation to each of my clients. I take pride in my ability to listen attentively, understand my clients’ goals, and provide practical advice to help them achieve their desired outcome.

Outside of work, I am a bit of an explorer. I love to travel, with Galapagos Islands and Cairo being some of my most memorable destinations. I also enjoy a great weekend road trip, the occasional indie film, keeping active and spending time with my family.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on General Management. In my role as an Admin Assistant, I provide legal support to immigration lawyers and legal practitioners.
Aside from my professional pursuits, I have a passion for baking, and nothing brings me more joy than creating delightful treats. I also cherish quality time spent with my family and am an avid dog lover, appreciating the companionship and unconditional love that our furry friends bring to our lives.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of my job is developing and maintaining fantastic relationships with our clients. Seeing our clients achieve their migration goals brings me immense joy, and my passion for finding solutions and ensuring successful outcomes has been a driving force behind my many accomplishments.
I myself migrated to Australia from China more than a decade ago. I’ve been through the whole process, so I understand how confusing and frustrating it can be at times. As a fellow migrant, I know firsthand just how crucial it is to get everything right for a smooth and successful migration. With this understanding, I am driven to assist our clients at every step of their migration process, providing them with the support they need to navigate the complexities and ensure a smooth transition.

I am Lalaine Garcia and I am currently responsible for maintaining and evaluating records for Hammond Migration. An Accountant with over twenty years of experience, I am dedicated and detail orientated.
With a bachelor’s degree in accounting, I have worked in various businesses to prepare all financial documents and ensure accuracy during annual audits and tax lodgements.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and reading a good novel!
